	October 31 - November 2 Dear Hamilton Families, It was marvelous to see so many Hamilton families on the Hill for what turned out to be a glorious fall weekend! Family Weekend 2008 had near-record attendance, the football team almost won and our performing arts students were as talented as they have ever been. If any of you have photos that you would like to share please feel free to e-mail them to me. We would love to hear your comments and suggestions about how we can make future events even better, and have provided a quick survey for this purpose. Please take a moment to complete it. Please e-mail pcaputi@hamilton.edu Summer Research Poster Sessions After spending their summer doing collaborative research with faculty, more than 100 Hamilton students got to show off the fruits of their labors during Family Weekend, Oct. 30-Nov. 2. Poster sessions for Emerson Summer Collaboration Grants, Levitt Summer Research Fellows and summer science research took place on Oct. 31 in KJ Commons and in the Science Center Wellin Atrium. More ... Poetry Readings by Faculty Associate Professor of English Naomi Gutman and Visiting Professor of English Jane Springer read selected poems from their recently published collections Wet Apples, White Blood and Dear Blackbird,. Fitness, Adventure, Climbing and Sports Opportunities abounded to learn new skills, watch football, soccer and field hockey games, or see a slide show of this year's Adirondack Adventure. Student and Faculty Presentations in the Performing and Fine Arts and Literature Hamilton College Orchestra Jazz Concert Lecture on contemporary Chinese Art in the Emerson Gallery Prize-winning student writers share their poems and short stories. Tea with the President and Hamilton Faculty More than 400 people attended the reception in the new addtion to the Kirner-Johnson Building and had a chance to talk to faculty and senior administration of the College.
