Theater Department Preview of fall production of Roberto Zucco by Bernard-Marie Koltes. Koltes' plays are widely regarded as the most important contemporary plays to emerge from France in the 1980s and 90s.
Who is Roberto Zucco? A prisoner or a secret agent? A lover or a rapist? A chameleon or a rhino? A peace-loving student or a killer on the run? In a series of poetic, fast-moving scenes, Koltes takes his hero on a mythical journey through a landscape of strange and violent beauty.
(from the Methuen 1997 publication of Roberto Zucco, translated by Martin Crimp)
Guests must remain for the entire preview and are invited to stay afterwards for a short discussion with the cast.
