English Department faculty will read from their recently published works. Doran Larson will read two short, non-fiction essays under the collective title, Swimming Lessons and Tina Hall will read from her novella titled All the Day's Sad Stories.

President Joan Hinde Stewart will welcome the Class of 2010 and their parents and Chief of Staff Meredith Harper Bonham will provide a preview of Commencement. Bruce Cakebread P'10, of Cakebread Cellars, will lead the tasting of a selection from his wines.

In anticipation of the College's Bicentennial, the Food for Thought course (CS 235) is attempting the re-creation of an early 19th century kitchen garden, one that would have been typical in Clinton at the time of the College's founding. Professors Franklin Sciacca and David Gapp will give a presentation on the establishment of the garden (now two years old) and how this garden plays a role in the Food for Thought course and the celebration of the College's bicentennial. Weather permitting, a tour of the fall garden will follow.

More than 3,600 students have attended the Career Center's Senior Job Search Workshop series. Now it's your turn! This program reviews the challenges seniors face in their search for employment. We will share the resources available to them, outline successful techniques for finding employment and discuss handling the stresses of senior year.

This presentation provides an overview of the steps necessary for your sons and daughters to be competitive in their post-Hamilton pursuits. The Career Center staff will make the case for students obtaining career-related experience, beginning in their first year at Hamilton, and will highlight the important role that families play in helping students succeed. Current students will speak about securing summer internships. We encourage you to bring your son or daughter with you.

After an interview with an audience member, the cast weaves together a full one-act musical, complete with all the songs, trappings and melodrama you'd expect from our friends on Broadway.
