Students who are not feeling well are encouraged to contact their professors regarding class absence, missed work, and makeup work.

The Student Health Center will not issue a note for classes missed. When a student is advised by the Health Center to stay out of class due to sickness or injury, the student is instructed to contact their professors to let them know they will miss class. If the student is expected to miss class for an extended period of time, the student may contact the Student Support Care Team to review their situation and formulate a plan.

With the student’s permission, the Health Center will verify if the student was seen at the Health Center on a specific date. However, we will not discuss the reason for the visit.

Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Director of the Student Health Center or the Dean of Students Office.
