Hamilton offers the support of a knowledgeable and experienced committee of faculty and administrators who are eager to offer advice to any student who asks for their help. The Health Professions Advisory Committee will prepare a letter of recommendation for all students who choose to apply to medical, dental, veterinary or other health professions; program, as long as they have taken at least four semesters of science at Hamilton and follow the suggested process. Medical, dental and veterinary schools value a committee recommendation, and they expect to receive one from Hamilton College. Candidates are not prescreened and there is no minimum GPA required for consideration by the committee.
Alumni of Hamilton College who decide to pursue one of the health professions after graduation can also rely on assistance from the Health Professions Advisor and, if they have completed half of the required science classes at Hamilton, they can also request a committee recommendation.
Look at Ms. North's appointment calendar to identify a mutually convenient meeting time; then call 859-4584 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available M-F on the hour: 9, 10, 11, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Please note: the Health Professions Advising office is located in Bristol #304.
