The Chemistry department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2015. Strong applicants will have expertise to teach in the two-semester Physical Chemistry sequence, lecture and laboratory, and will bring to the department an area of research grounded in physical chemistry or a related field (Materials, Environmental, Physical Organic, Physical Inorganic, etc.). Additional possible teaching responsibilities include Introductory Chemistry, Research Methods, and/or other courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to guide student research during the summer and advise the required Senior Project during the academic year. Ph.D. and postdoctoral or equivalent experience required. Applicants must demonstrate excellence, or the potential for excellence, in teaching and research with undergraduates. Experience teaching or working with diverse student populations is an asset. Excellent startup support and research space in a state-of-the-art facility will be provided.
