Hamilton College is seeking a results-oriented professional who wants to be part of a highly effective team. The Office of Admission is characterized by an unusual degree of teamwork and camaraderie, a high level of energy and commitment, exceptional communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities. This is a full-time, administrative position available June 1, and reporting to the Associate Dean of Admission for Operations.
The Operations Manager will be an integral member of the admission team. Responsibilities will include: primary oversight for the office’s data management system; management of more than 18,000 inquiries and 5,000 applications; supervision of the data-entry team; communication with critical college offices regarding enrollment information; oversight of admission mail sequence; some data entry and phone coverage along with other related responsibilities, as assigned.
Candidates should possess excellent management/organizational skills, strong supervisory/interpersonal skills, significant experience with data systems management (proficiency with Datatel preferred) and/or college admission processes, a willingness to work some nights and weekends and be strongly service-oriented.
