Hamilton College’s Sociology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2013. The Department prefers candidates whose research and teaching interests feature the use of quantitative methods. The area of specialization is open, though the Department has a strong preference for candidates who are capable of teaching courses in economic inequality, social class, and/or social stratification. Candidates must possess demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship. The teaching load at Hamilton is five courses per year. The College provides strong support for faculty research and travel.
