Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year-visiting position in Communication, (with the possibility of renewal) beginning July 1, 2013. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. Teaching load in the department is five courses per year.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Communication and be committed to liberal arts undergraduate education. We prefer candidates whose teaching and research interests focus on the theory and history of media. Teaching responsibilities include courses for the major such as introduction to communication, communication theory, or ethics. In addition, teaching interests could include social history of advertising, history of communication, digital humanities, or film studies.
