Blackboard Workshops for Instructors

By Deborah Reichler

With all the new features in this year's version of Blackboard Learn, you probably will want to  attend one of the following workshops for instructors, both new and returning.

Introduction to Blackboard

Monday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 21, 10:00 a.m. - noon in Burke Library 001
This workshop is for faculty who have little or no experience using Blackboard.  We'll review the communications tools, how to upload course material, how to customize Blackboard, introduce the Grade Center and look at ways that Blackboard can help you manage your classes.  (Both workshops are the same, so plan to attend the one that best fits your schedule.  Burke 001 is a dual-boot room, so both Mac and Windows users welcome).

What's New in Blackboard 2013

Tuesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 22, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in Burke Library 001
This workshop is intended for faculty who are comfortable using the basic features of Blackboard.  We'll look at the new and exciting tools available in this year's version of Blackboard, plus answer any question you may have.  Ever wonder, "am I using Blackboard as fully as I might?"  This workshop is for you!  (Both workshops are the same, so plan to attend the one that best fits your schedule. Burke 001 is a dual-boot room, so both Mac and Windows users welcome).
