Using Maple

Opening Files

  1. Select File - Open. Maple 17 is set to Open files from your Citrix/My Documents folder from within your SSS by default.
    1. If your files are on the Academic server, click on the Look in: menu and select Academic Server (K:) from the dropdown menu.
    2. If your file is on SSS somewhere other than your Citrix/My Documents folder, then click on the Look in: menu and select [username]$ (\\sss). For faculty, substitute (\\sss) with (\\ess).
    3. If your files are on your local computer, click on the Look in: menu and select Local Disk (C: on [computer name]) from the drop-down menu. If you are presented with a prompt asking how you want to access files on the mapped drive, select Read & Write. Then select the Users folder. Click on the folder with your username, and then select the folder you would like to access from your local computer.
  2. Navigate to the desired file and click Open.


Saving Files

  1. Select File - Save As.
    1. If you're saving your file SSS somewhere other than your Citrix/My Documents folder, then click on the Look in: menu and select [username]$ (\\sss). For faculty, substitute (\\sss) with (\\ess).
    2. If you're saving your files on your local computer, click on the Look in: menu and select Local Disk (C: on [computer name]) from the drop-down menu. If you are presented with a prompt asking how you want to access files on the mapped drive, select Read & Write. Then select the Users folder. Click on the folder with your username, and then select the folder you would like to access from your local computer.
  2. Navigate to the desired location, name your file, and click Save.
     

Printing

  1. Select File - Print.
  2. Make sure a printer is selected and click OK.

  1. To create a pdf file for local printing, go to File - Export As, browse to your personal space on the network, name the file, select PDF   (.pdf) as the file type and click on the Save button.
