Using Minitab

Opening Files

  1. Select File - Open. Minitab is set to open files from your Citrix/My Documents folder from within your SSS by default.
    1. If your files are on the Academic server, click on the Look in: menu and select Academic Drive (K:) from the dropdown menu.
    2. If your file is on SSS somewhere other than your Citrix/My Documents folder, then click on the Look in: menu and select username$ (\\sss). For faculty, substitute \\sss with \\ess.
    3. If your files are on your local computer, click on the Look in: menu and select Local Disk (C: on computer name) from the drop-down menu. If you are presented with a prompt asking how you want to access files on the mapped drive, select Read & Write. Then select the Users folder. Click on the folder with your username, and then select the folder you would like to access from your local computer.
  2. Navigate to the desired file and click Open.


 

Saving Files

  1. Select File - Save Project As. You will be prompted with a window almost identical to the Open Project window.
    1. If you're saving your file SSS somewhere other than your Citrix/My Documents folder, then click on the Look in: menu and select username$ \\sss. For faculty, substitute (\\sss) with (\\ess).
    2. If you're saving your files on your local computer, click on the Look in: menu and select Local Disk (C: on computer name) from the drop-down menu. If you are presented with a prompt asking how you want to access files on the mapped drive, select Read & Write. Then select the Users folder. Click on the folder with your username, and then select the folder you would like to access from your local computer.
  2. Navigate to the desired location, name your file, and click Save.
     

Printing

  1. Select File - Print Session Window.
  2. In the resulting Print dialog window, select the desired printer in the Name: field and click OK.


  1. To export a graph for printing, select File - Save Graph As, navigate to your personal space on the server, give the file a name, select PNG Color (*.PNG) and click thee Save button.
