So as some of you probably know from previous journal entries, Hamilton has a student-run café called Opus and I honestly never understood why SO MANY people buy food from there. But actually, I know quite a few people who buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Opus. It seemed kind of ridiculous. I mean, I always figured that you might as well go to one of the dining halls and get food from there with your meal plan. No extra money spent, right?
A few weeks ago, one of my professors gave me a $5 Opus gift card for showing up during his office hours (thanks Greg!) and I can’t possibly let a perfectly good gift card go to waste. So today I decided to buy something from Opus that wasn’t hot chocolate or espresso beans…I mean, like actual food. You’re probably wondering what I got right? I know the suspense is killing you. Well, ladies and gents I got myself a hummus wrap and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Seriously, it was like there was a party in my mouth. It was THAT good.
I have to thank my friend Cynthia because I never would have known what to get. As far as I’m concerned, I think the Opus menu is more or less the same everyday, but I had no idea what to get because I never buy any food from there. But Cynthia was raving about the hummus wrap one afternoon so I decided to trust her judgment.
Anyway, I think my original point of sharing this entire story was that Opus is amazing, Hamilton is amazing, and everyone should eat hummus. Yes, good talk.
I'd also like to share the song I've been listening to on repeat for the last hour. Enjoy.
