Congratulations to all of you who received your acceptance letters! I know this week can be very stressful while you wait to hear back from colleges, but it’s a great feeling to have one acceptance under your belt. Plus, you got in to Hamilton; who cares about the other schools. Just kidding.
My one piece of advice is to go back and visit the schools you were accepted to (if they’re not too far away). I think what’s most important is the vibe you get from the college. If possible, do an overnight to get an even better sense of the school and the students who go there. But most importantly, remember that you’re probably going to love college wherever you go, so don’t let the decision weigh down on you too much.
Also, if you happen to be visiting Hamilton this Saturday, swing by the rugby fields— Hamilton’s Ultimate Frisbee team is hosting its first home tournament this year. It’s a shameless plug, I know. But we’ll take all the fans we can get.
Good luck with your college decisions; I hope you all get into your dream schools *Hamilton Cough Cough*. And if you ever have any questions about Hamilton please feel free to shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I may not have the answer, but I can certainly make something up. Or actually find out for you. Whichever you’d prefer.
