Yodapez Gets a Gig!

Courtney Kollmer is not only a performance artist; she is also a talented painter. By some divine connection she met up with Cathy, the owner of a newly opened coffee shop just down the hill from Hamilton. They got to talking and Courtney ended up with some wall space in the shop to sell her art. They kept talking and it turns out they are looking for comedy acts every Monday. That’s how we ended up performing in a corner of the College Street Café last Monday night.

With a crowd of maybe thirty we worked on some old games, tried out a new game, and got the chance to engage more intimately with our audience. Our rhyming was atrocious, but in general we settled into the smaller audience with greater ease and less anxiety than in some of our larger shows.

We’ll return to the College Street Café next Monday, so if hot drinks, delicious pastries, and comedic entertainment sound good to you, keep an eye out for our emails. And if you actually make it down the hill, come prepared to Laugh a Latte! Ha!
