November 27, 2009 This isn't necessarily Hamilton-related, but I figured this was as good of a forum as any to note a slew of happy holidays.
To Muslims, Eid Mubarak -- to those that don't know, today is Eid Al-Adha, which comes approximately 70 days after the end of Ramadan and is known as the "Festival of Sacrifice." It follows the day after Hajj, which is an annual pilgrimage to Mecca taken up by millions of Muslims around the world. Eid Al-Adha begins when the pilgrims descend from Mount Arafat.
So -- again -- Eid Mubarak to Muslims in the Hamilton community and everywhere else!
To everyone who celebrated Thankgiving yesterday, I hope your dinners and time spent with family were all ideal. Happy holidays and good eating!
Finally, to the consumers of the world -- enjoy the sales while they last. Today is Black Friday -- so I guess that's some sort of holiday, right?
Anyway, break is almost over, and I'm looking forward to getting back to Hamilton. It's been a nice break, but it's time to start applying for jobs. I need to get back to the career center...
More later --
