March 26, 2007 So I got my tonsils out over break, which you can see I was excited about if you read my last entry. In reality, though, it REALLY hurt. I had NO idea how much this would actually hurt. Of course, anything that involves removing pieces of your body usually hurts, but I somehow didn't consider this fact. I literally couldn't get out of bed for an entire week and only ate ice cream. It sounds fun, but it wasn't. I ended up losing like 8 pounds because I could only eat ice cream, and only like 3 scoops of it per day. I DID manage to watch a lot of really good movies, including, but not limited to, the following: Alice in Wonderland, Donnie Darko, Little Miss Sunshine, The Departed, 300, Cassanova, Goodfellas, Pan's Labyrinth, and -- of course -- I capped it off with a little Dumb and Dumber. I pretty much spent all the time I wasn't working out on watching movies and starving. I apologize to anyone I spoke to while I was on the painkillers, because I don't remember a THING we talked about.
And where do the last 2 weeks leave me? Well, significantly skinnier and pretty stressed out about my thesis. Once I was off the painkillers, I was able to do a fair amount of work over break, but since my thesis involves a lot of hardware, I couldn't exactly take it home with me. I'm currently in the process of collecting data from people, after which point I'll have to analyze it all. In other words, I will be living in the science building at all hours of the day. I'll keep you updated...
