It’s crazy how quickly time passes at Hamilton. I could have sworn it was just yesterday that I was hauling boxes up to my fourth-floor single, but there are only a few weeks left in the term, and I’m a little shell-shocked.
Every one of my professors has started talking about final essays and projects, and while it seems overwhelming right now, there’s still time, especially with our week-long Thanksgiving break coming up. All of the departments are promoting their final speakers off the semester, and registration for spring courses is nearly upon us.
It’s been a busy semester, and I’m sad to see it coming to a close so quickly. There’s still so much to do, so much to learn, and sometimes it feels like I could spend a whole lifetime on the Hill just trying to experience everything Hamilton has to offer.
Still, the semester’s not over yet, and there’s still so much to do before December. There was an open mic night earlier in our campus café, and yesterday a successful writer and Hamilton alumnus did a reading in the Events Barn. I’ve had meetings with professors and will have more in the coming weeks, and many papers are waiting to be written. A busy mind is a happy mind here at Hamilton; this school is anything but boring.
