Hamilton College has in its Archives the Samuel Kirkland Papers, which include correspondence, diaries, fragment of an autobiography (1764-65), and census of Six Nations (1789). Some of the letters are in the Oneida and Mohawk languages. Correspondents include James Bowdoin, Joseph Brant, Israel Chapin, Henry Knox, Andrew Oliver, Timothy Pickering, Philip Schuyler, Peter Thatcher, the Rev. Stephen West, Eleazer Wheelock, Edward Wigglesworth, and Joseph Willard. Summary descriptions and indices to the bulk of the correspondence of Samuel Kirkland (including copies of some letters in other repositories) are now available in PDF format on-line.
