These Civil War documents and objects are related to the people and history of Oneida county in which Hamilton College is located.

The following two collections can be browsed and searched on this Web site:

• The 117th New York Infantry Regiment Collection
  (More than 1000 documents and objects related to this regiment which was organized and mustered out of Oneida county, New York in 1862.)
• The Civil War Letters Collection
  (366 letters written to or by someone from the state of New York during the Civil War era -- most of which were written by soldiers or members of their families from Oneida county.)

The Digital Shaker Collection

The Hamilton College Library holds one of the best collections of Shaker books and periodicals.
