Connect and Register

• Connect to SciFinder Web  (first time users must register)

• Register to use SciFinder  (my Hamilton network login and email address required)

SciFinder at Hamilton

• All users must register and login to use SciFinder. Do Not share your login ID or password with any other individual or organization.
• SciFinder at Hamilton provides access to the full service which includes SSM, the SciFinder Substructure Module.
• Hamilton shares its 3 connections with 5 other institutions. If all sessions are in use you will be asked to try again later. Please remember to sign out when you are finished to allow others to use the database.
• SciFinder is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for routine maintenance performed every Sat 10:00pm - Sun 1:00am and the 1st Saturday of the month from 5:00pm - Sun 1:00am.

• Mac OS X 10.4.11
• Mac OS X 10.5
• Windows XP 32-bit
• Windows Vista 32-bit

Recommended browsers:

• Mozilla Firefox 3.0x and 3.5
• Apple Safari 3.x and 4.x
• Microsoft Internet Explorer, Versions 6.x, 7.x and 8.x  (Windows only)

Software requirements:

• Java runtime environment (JRE) is needed for structure drawing.
• JavaScript, Java, and cookies must be enabled.

Popup blocking:

If you have a popup blocker, either turn it off or add the following two sites to your "popups allowed" list:

• scifinder.cas.org
• chemport.cas.org
