Off Campus Access to Library Resources
IdentificationYou will need a current Hamilton College ID with barcode to access library resources. If you do not have your current ID, please contact the Reference Department at askref@hamilton.edu or 315-859-4735. ALEX-Library CatalogALEX is available for searching only. Books may be checked out while on campus, but the library cannot mail books off campus. Log into your account from within ALEX to see what books you have checked out and what the due dates are. Books can also be renewed from your account. ReservesElectronic reserves are accessible using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please contact the Circulation Department at askcirc@hamilton.edu or 315-859-4479 with any questions or problems. Databases and E-JournalsAll databases and electronic journals subscribed to by Hamilton College are accessible from the Library Home Page. Some database work better with FireFox or another non-Microsoft browser. We have noted this on the entry page for these particular databases. Use RefWorksYou may access your RefWorks account from anywhere with an internet connection. Click on the When you sign up for an account, you will receive a "group code" needed for off campus access. If you have lost or deleted this email, please contact the Reference Department at askref@hamilton.edu or 315-859-4735. Interlibrary LoanYou may request articles from Interlibrary Loan while studying off-campus, and they will either arrive as a pdf via email or we will mail them to you. For books, you may request tables of contents, then we can photocopy or scan the pertinent materials, within copyright restrictions, and mail or email the file to you.
