Hamilton College Editorial Style Guide
Campus Buildings and Facilities
In general, refer to a Hamilton building or facility by the name that will be most familiar to the intended audience. However, be sensitive to using the full and proper names when preparing formal invitations or, in many cases, on first reference.

Anderson-Connell Alumni Center
Alumni Center often acceptable on first reference. Sometimes referred to as Communications & Development (or C&D), the offices that occupy the building.
Annex
Now Tolles Pavilion.
Athletic Center
The complex that includes Margaret Bundy Scott Field House, Little Squash Center, Russell Sage Rink, Alumni Gymnasium, William M. Bristol, Jr. Swimming Pool, and Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center.

Hamilton's style is "theatre" in all cases with the exception of Minor Theater.

Located in Burke Library. Also known as MPC on second reference.
Nesbitt-Johnston Writing Center

North and South Courtyard
Oral Communication Center
