Alumni Trustee Candidates

(Three to be elected)

The Alumni Council has nominated three candidates to serve as members of Hamilton's Board of Trustees. Each alumni trustee elected will serve a four-year term beginning on July 1, 2009.

Jennifer Murphy Hill '87
Jennifer was a government major and a French minor at Hamilton. After earning an MBA from Columbia University in 1996, Jennifer began a career in finance, including 10 years with Goldman Sachs, where she rose to the level of managing director. After a move to ­London, where she now resides, she joined Tisbury Capital Management as CFO and is currently global head of strategy for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Jennifer has been an active member of the Alumni Council, serving on its Executive Committee and spearheading an effort to develop funding for student internships outside of Hamilton. She also has served as an Admission, Career Center and Annual Fund volunteer.

Gregory J. Robitaille '85
An English literature major at Hamilton, Greg was also a member of Alpha Delta Phi and played on the baseball and rugby teams. ­Following graduation from ­Hamilton, he received an MBA from Columbia University and worked for Rewards Network and Transmedia Network as executive vice president responsible for corporate development. Greg is currently managing director of TCS Capital Group, LLC and resides in Chicago with his wife Beth Pfitzenmayer Robitaille '85. He is a Career Center, Admission, Annual Fund and reunion gift ­volunteer, a Joel Bristol Associate, and has served as Chicago Alumni Association president. Greg and Beth will become co-chairs of the Hamilton Annual Fund on July 1, 2009, following a two-year term as vice chairs.

Thomas J. Tull '92
While at Hamilton, Thomas majored in government, participated in the HEOP program and was a member of the football team. After graduating, he played a key role in a number of companies, including Red Storm Entertainment and the Convex Group. He is now chairman/CEO of Legendary Pictures in Los Angeles. Legendary has a five-year agreement to co-produce and co-finance 25 movies with Warner Bros. Thomas' current Hamilton focus is the creation of internship, writing and public speaking opportunities for students. To date, he has spoken with economics classes on the Hill, sponsored Hamilton students in summer internships and initiated a Film Treatment Challenge on campus, incorporating elements of writing, public speaking and marketing. Thomas lives in Los Angeles.

Alumni Association Presidential Nominee


Julia Lamson Ross '84
A psychology major at Hamilton, Julie graduated as salutatorian of her class and attended Harvard Law School. For a number of years, she practiced entertainment law as a partner with Gipson, Hoffman and Pancione in California before she relocated to Maryland, where she still lives. She currently is a professor at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C. Julie has served the College as chair of the Nominations Committee of the Alumni Council, member of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Council, class agent, chair of both the 20th and 25th reunion gift committees and as a volunteer for both the Admission and Career Center programs.

In accordance with Article 8 of the ­Constitution of the Alumni Association, alumni may submit additional nominations for alumni trustee or Alumni Association president by petition, each of which requires at least 25 signatures of association members. To be valid, a petition must be submitted by Jan. 5, 2009, and include the signature, class year, address and telephone number of each petitioner, along with a statement by the proposed candidate consenting to be nominated. Each petition may nominate only one candidate and should be directed to the Secretary, Hamilton College Alumni Association, 198 College Hill Road, Clinton, NY 13323. If no nominations by petition are received, a mail ballot election will not be necessary.
