Science Center Dedicated

Hundreds packed the Science Center atrium on Sept. 30 for the long-awaited dedication of the largest building project in Hamilton's history. Highlights included a keynote address by Congressman Sherwood Boehlert, chairman of the House Committee on Science; a lecture by New York Times best-selling author Jared Diamond; and two days of talks, panel discussions and poster presentations by alumni and student scientists.

Fallcoming Weekend Celebrated

In addition to events surrounding the Science Center dedication, Fallcoming activities included an alumni college featuring New York Times columnist Frank Rich, a reenactment with actor Hall Bidlack portraying Alexander Hamilton and an evening of world-class jazz courtesy of the Kenny Davern Quartet. Anderson Fund Provides Stipends For Internships

Wangechi Thuo '06 had her heart set on an internship with the United Nations World Health Organization. But because it was unpaid, Thuo thought she would have to choose between making money during the summer or pursuing her "dream" internship. Thanks to a stipend from the new Joseph F.
