Kevin Rowe '10 and Max Wall '10 have been awarded Thomas J. Watson Fellowships for 2010-11. Rowe and Wall, both of whom are focusing on projects involving food and culture, are two of only 40 national winners, and each receives $25,000 for a year of travel and exploration outside the United States. Taylor Adams '11 and Deborah Barany '11 have been named Barry M. Goldwater Scholars for the 2010-11 year, among just 278 students to receive this premier national undergraduate award in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences and engineering. Levitt, Emerson Summer Stipends Go to 39

Eleven Hamilton students will receive Levitt Summer Research Fellowships and spend 10 weeks this summer working intensively with faculty mentors on public-affairs projects that range from auto industry reform to relations between China and the Vatican; 28 others are recipients of Emerson Summer Grants and will spend the summer researching an area of interest in collaboration with Hamilton faculty members.
