Buffergrams Delight Valentines All Over the Hill

The Buffers, Hamilton's all male a cappella group, continued a Valentine's Day tradition by delivering singing Buffergrams to people all over campus. Sporting their traditional white bucks and blue blazers, the group entertained employees and students with such classics as "Love me Tender," "Cecilia," and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (...I'm Yours)." The group made some 150 "deliveries" on Valentine's Day, starting at 5 a.m. with Buffergrams by phone. 

Roommates Maddy Gunter '11, Kelsey Lawler '11 and Ipsita Bhatia '11 were among those serenaded. Gunter wanted to purchase a Buffergram for her roommates but had to borrow $5 from Lawler to pay for it. Lawler had to pretend she didn't know what the money was for in order to let Gunter think she was surprising the others. The result was a rousing rendition of "Africa," not a typical love song but the official "room song" of the three.
