Heavy snow, no wind

Working our way into Lester Cove in Andvord Bay in a heavy snowstorm and beautiful ice formations. Hopefully when the sun gets higher in the sky the clouds will burn off exposing some of the 2-6000 foot peaks that are shown surrounding this bay.

Last evening the "day shift" collected bottom samples at the mouth of Andvord Bay. Attached photo shows Anna Rubin of Colgate and Emily Backman collecting small samples from the Smith McIntyre grab sampler. Float coats and hardhats are the dress code for working on deck.
