+6 C, light winds, calm seas,

We have passed the 200 nautical mile limit of Argentina and Chile, and are around 36 hours from entering the Straits of Magellan.

Seas have been quite calm making the crossing of the Drake uneventful, so far.

The night watch crew are working on adjusting their schedules back to normal working hours and everyone is catching up on sleep.

All the data collected during the trip is being compiled and burned to CD's, maps are being printed  and briefing notes prepared for a science briefing to be held tomorrow that will highlight some of the initial results of the cruise.

As we are packing to leave the ship, the crew is already working on what is needed for the next science cruise that will leave 3-4 days after our arrival in Punta Arenas.

Our current schedule has us staying on the ship the nights of the 13th and 14th with continued e-mail support until then. This will allow me to continue updates possibly through the morning of the 15th.
