  • Environmental and Ecological Justice to Be Explored in DSJP Lecture

    Northern Arizona University Professor David Schlosberg will give a lecture, "From Environmental Justice to Ecological Justice: Human Communities and Natural Systems," on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m., in the Kennedy Auditorium in Hamilton College's Science Center. Sponsored by the Diversity and Social Justice Project as part of its Environmental Justice series, it is free and open to the public.

    Schlosberg's interests are in political theory and environmental politics. His research focuses mainly on environmental democracy and participation, environmental justice as well as the political theory, tactics and organization of environmental movements.

    He has held visiting positions at the London School of Economics and as a Fulbright Senior Scholar and Fellow in Social and Political Theory at the Australian National University. Schlosberg is currently the Barron Visiting Professor in Environment and Humanities in the Princeton Environmental Institute and the University Center for Human Values at Princeton. His work has also been supported by the National Science Foundation.
