Week 1
Week 2
Eugene Domack, the Joel W. Johnson Family Professor of Geosciences, and Katheryn Doran, associate professor of philosophy, are leading a small group of students to Tasmania. The two-week field trip excursion to the island state of Australia is part of Geosciences 295: The Geology of Tasmania. The group is focusing on the geology, botany and natural history of the region, and on wilderness ethics. The emphasis of the field work is on the geology of the southern continents, economic resources and wilderness conservation. The cost of the trip has been subsidized by the Joel W. Johnson Family Professorship in Geosciences.
