  • Over winter break 15 students from Hamilton’s Model European Union club — as well as faculty advisor Alan Cafruny, the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of International Affairs — attended the 25th annual EuroSim conference in Wroclaw, Poland, from Jan. 5-8.  Each year, the EuroSim conference presents a different topic relating to European policy; the topic of this year’s conference was European asylum policy and the development of a common European asylum system.  

  • Ten Hamilton students participated in the McGill Model United Nations Conference (MCMUN) Jan. 27-31 in Montréal. The conference drew more than 50 schools from the United States, Canada and Europe and approximately 1,400 delegates.

  • Nine Hamilton students participated in the National Model United Nations Conference (NMUN) Oct. 29-31 in Washington, D.C. The conference drew more than 50 schools from the U.S., Canada and Europe and approximately 1,000 delegates.

  • Eleven Hamilton students participated in the McGill University Model United Nations Conference (MCMUN) January 28-31 in Montréal, Canada. The conference drew approximately 1,400 delegates Keynote speaker at the opening ceremony was Canadian Member of Parliament and McGill alumnus Justin Trudeau, who encouraged students to be politically involved in the world around them.

  • Eleven Hamilton students participated in the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference (UPMUNC) Nov. 12 - 15 in Philadelphia. The conference drew approximately 1,400 delegates. The keynote speaker at the opening ceremony was Scott Harrison, founder of the non-profit organization Charity: Water, which aims to provide safe, clean drinking water to those in less-developed nations.
