  • Leide Cabral ’11, Denise Ghartey ’12 and Hector Acevedo ’08 presented at the K-16 Model of Minority STEM Education: Innovations in Pedagogy and Approach Conference hosted in April at Virginia State University with funding from the National Science Foundation. The student leaders of The Young People’s Project at Hamilton College (YPP@HC) joined Maisha Moses, The Young People’s Project national board member and daughter of Robert Moses ’56.

  • Student leaders of The Young People’s Project at Hamilton College participated in the SNCC 50th Anniversary Conference in Raleigh, N.C., in April. The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) celebrated its 50th anniversary by bringing past and current civil rights leaders together at Shaw University in North Carolina.

  • The Young People's Project at Hamilton College hosted its first semi-annual math tournament on Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Fillius Events Barn. Attendees included 24 students whom the organization works with at Donovan Middle School in Utica.
