The essay, &amp;ldquo;Die Menschenrechte und die staatliche Abschaffung der Sklaverei, 1885-1956,&amp;rdquo; appears in Stefan-Ludwig Hoffman (ed.), Moralpolitik: Geschichte der Menschenrechte im 20. Jahrhundert (G&amp;ouml;ttingen: Wallstein Verlag, 2010). The original essay, &amp;ldquo;Human Rights and Sovereign Abolitions of Slavery, 1885-1956,&amp;rdquo; was published in 2007 in Beyond Sovereignty, a collection co-edited by Grant.</description>

The three books are part of Facts on File&apos;s Discovery and Exploration 10-book series  revised for a young adult audience. Isserman serves as the co-editor for the entire series.</description>
