	President Joan Hinde Stewart announced the passing of Life Trustee Fran Musselman&amp;nbsp; &amp;rsquo;50, H&amp;rsquo;05, P&amp;rsquo;75 in an e-mail to the campus community on April 5.

	&amp;ldquo;I write with great sadness to inform you that Life Trustee Fran Musselman&amp;rsquo;50, H&amp;rsquo;05, P&amp;rsquo;75 died peacefully yesterday after succumbing to lung cancer. His daughters were at his side. He lived 87 full years.&amp;rdquo;

This lack of fresh food forces residents to turn to cheaper, less healthy options such as convenience store food. Stephanie Ingraham &amp;rsquo;13 is an intern with Utica Urban Gardens at For the Good, Inc., an initiative that works to fight poverty and provide low-income individuals with fresh crops while preserving the environment.

	Lydia Rono &amp;rsquo;11 has been awarded the Samuel F. Babbitt Kirkland College Fellowship for graduate study. Rono will pursue a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Princeton University in the fall. In addition, Haley Riemer-Peltz &amp;rsquo;12, Jennifer Roberts &amp;rsquo;14 and Jill Chipman &amp;#39;14 were recently selected by the Kirkland Endowment as 2011 Summer Associates. They will conduct research with faculty advisors and receive stipends for their work.

	A memorial service for Professor of English Emeritus George Bahlke will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 3 p.m. in St. James&amp;#39; Episcopal Church in Clinton, followed by a reception in the parish hall. Bahlke died on Feb. 1 of complications from pneumonia. He was 76 and, although retired, was a frequent presence on campus. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the George Bahlke Travel Fund, established by his wife, family and friends on the occasion of his retirement.

This project follows three remarkable young Brooklyn women.&amp;nbsp; Hartman has known these young women&amp;mdash;and written about them&amp;mdash;since they were 11. The project includes, Destiny&apos;s Sweet Sixteen, a video.</description>
