Junior forward Amy Williams, the ECAC scoring leader, scored three goals and passed for an assist, guiding Hamilton College to a 5-2 win over the University of Southern Maine on Jan. 16.

Southern Maine cut Hamilton's lead to a goal, 3-2, early in the third period on a power-play score by Breanne Fortiguerra, but the resilient Continentals responded with two goals in a 1:30 span to put the game out of reach. Junior forward Stacy Tyksinski, who scored with a 1:30 left in the third period, finished the contest with a goal and two assists, while sophomore Deb Elvin and freshman Kristen Engster each passed for two assists.

Freshmen Andrea Cecchinato and Putney Haley split the goaltending duties, combining for six saves, and Southern Maine netminder Samantha Whitman stopped 46 shots.
