Hamilton's annual Fallcoming took place this year on Oct. 2 through 5, with a full weekend of activities to suit every interest. Among highlights were a lecture by author and journalist David Simon, a reception and talk in the Emerson Gallery, a football game and a hilarious display of musical talents on the campus.

Thursday's events included an alumni/faculty panel titled "Sustainability: Market Solutions" and the David Simon lecture.

On Friday, Fallcoming guests could attend class and meet current students and professors in a series of open classes. The annual Helen and Doane Comstock '27 Memorial luncheon, celebrating students scholarships, also took place on Friday. Bob Bloomer '50 was honored as Alumni Association Volunteer of the Year, and the evening ended with a world-class jazz performance.

Saturday's events included a discussion of the College's strategic plan with Dean of Faculty Joe Urgo, and a football game against Trinity with a half-time presentation honoring the undefeated 1958 Hamilton football team.

Arboretum Director Terry Hawkridge gave a guided tour of both North and South campus trees and plantings, and Fallcoming guests took a tour of the new Kirner-Johnson expansion with Bill Huggins, associate director of Physical Plant.

A highlight of the evening was Comedy Tonight! Classical music and comedy united for an uproariously funny evening when Hamilton College and local musicians showed off their chops. On Sunday, alumnae athletes reunited for games in men's and women's soccer and baseball, and the men's Hamilton Fall Golf Invitational took place.
