Hamilton College will welcome back more than 1,500 alumni and their guests when it hosts its annual Reunion Weekend, this year on Thursday-Sunday, June 5-8.

The Reunion keynote lecture will feature Hamilton Trustee John Rice '78, vice president of General Electric and chairman and CEO, GE Infrastructure. He will speak on "The Relevance of a Hamilton Education" on Friday, June 6, at 8:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

Highlights of this year's reunion will include an alumni college featuring Dan Nye '88, CEO of LinkedIn. He will present "Professional Networking: Why It's ­Useful and Where It's Heading." This Alumni College will provide information on the second generation of Web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, blogs and wikis.

An Alumni College presented by Doug Chapman '58, the Fraser Riverkeeper in Vancouver, Canada, "Protecting the Environment," will discuss worldwide environmental advocacy. It will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the Kennedy Auditorium in the Science Center.

Panelists Eric Hasseltine '58, Haskell Rhett '58 and Daniel Chambliss, the Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology, will discuss excellence and value in education today in an Alumni College taking place on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium.

The Emerson Gallery will host "Reciprocity," an exhibition featuring members of Hamilton's studio art faculty, current students and recent ­graduates. The opening reception will take place on Friday from 9:30 – 11 p.m.

Also during the weekend, reunion classes will hear a state of the college address from President Joan Stewart on Saturday at 2 p.m., celebrate at class dinners, hold class meetings and participate in a Service of Remembrance for deceased alumni.
