The Anatomy of Hate: A Dialogue for Hope, an award-winning film by director Mike Ramsdell, will be screened at Hamilton College on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., in the Bradford Auditorium of the Kirner-Johnson Building. The screening will be followed by an open discussion with Mike Ramsdell, and is free and open to the public.

 

According to the film’s website, Ramsdell spent six years examining “some of the most venomous ideologies and violent conflicts of our time,” including U.S. forces in Iraq and Muslim extremism. The political documentary The Anatomy of Hate provides an in-depth look at the types of hate in this world and how we may overcome them. Ramsdell has said, “If man creates hate, he can also un-create it.”

 

Ramsdell graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking. In 2003, he founded Under the Hood Productions, his production company. Currently, Ramsdell is developing the cable series War Photographers.
