Donald P. Buckley, Associate Professor of Biology and Director of Instructional Technology, School of Health Sciences Quinnipiac University discussed the implications teaching with technology has for information literacy, asynchronous learning and institutional change.  Dr. Buckley is primarily interested in the use of technology to enhance traditional pedagogies, although he has taught distance learning courses.  He is particularly interested in instructional technology that promotes (1) formative assessment, (2) inquiry experiences that are epistemologically rich, and (3) teaching styles that foster learning with understanding (sensu the NRC's  "How People Learn", 2000).
