Bill Wilt '63 is running for US Congress, 5th District, Massachusetts, as a write-in candidate of the Preamble Party.

Wilt created the Preamble Party with the mission to heighten awareness of the Preamble to the US Constitution: "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union ..."  His goal is to have school students recite the Preamble before school and governmental bodies recite it before official meetings.

According to Wilt, this will, “Restore the balance between We the People and government -- a balance that the now-quaint, desuetudinous Constitution was intended to support and defend.”

In addition to his Hamilton degree in English literature, Wilt has a law degree from Albany Law School and an MS in Journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
