Brett Lott to Read at Hamilton College

Critically acclaimed author Brett Lott will read from his work on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m., in the Bristol Campus Center, Hamilton College. The event is free and open to the public.

Lott who has been called "one of the most important and imaginative writers in America," will read from his latest book, The Hunt Club (1998), a suspense novel that combines family drama with the coming of age story of Huger Dillard, the 15-year-old protagonist.

Lott is the author of The Man Who Owned Vermont (1987), Jewel (1991) and the memoir Father, Sons and Brothers (1997). His stories and essays have appeared in numerous literary publications and have been widely anthologized.

In addition to writing, Lott teaches creative writing at the College of Charleston and Vermont College.
