Critically acclaimed author Brett Lottwill read from his work on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m., in the Bristol CampusCenter, Hamilton College. The event is free and open to the public.

Lott who has been called "one of the most important and imaginative writers inAmerica," will read from his latest book, The Hunt Club (1998), asuspense novel that combines family drama with the coming of age story of HugerDillard, the 15-year-old protagonist.

Lott is the author of The Man Who Owned Vermont (1987), Jewel(1991) and the memoir Father, Sons and Brothers (1997). His stories andessays have appeared in numerous literary publications and have been widelyanthologized.

In addition to writing, Lott teaches creative writing at the College ofCharleston and Vermont College.
