Charlotte Porter, a candidate for May graduation from Hamilton, has been awarded a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to Austria.

The Austrian Fulbright Commission facilitates the placement of U.S. citizens in the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture's English Teaching Assistantship Program. Through the program the participants teach 12 hours per week in Austrian secondary schools in all nine Austrian provinces.

The purpose of the Fulbright Program is to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills. The program is designed to give recent college graduates opportunities for personal development and international experience.
