COLLEGE GOLF COURSE RECEIVES DONATION FROM CENTRAL N.Y. PARKINSON'S GROUP
Parkinson's disease is a chronic neurological disease which usually begins in mid-life. According to some estimates, 50,000 Americans discover they have Parkinson's every year, including boxer Muhammad Ali and Attorney General Janet Reno. The cause of the disease is unknown.
Nationally, Parkinson's groups are lobbying for greater public awareness of the disease in efforts of finding a cure. Members of the local group that participated in the bird house donation to Hamilton are Walter and Sandy Heugel, Bruno and Lonnie Piretti, Gordon Jeffrey and Baden and Betty Mudge.
