Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History Liam Considine recently took his “What is Contemporary Art” Class to The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) in North Adams, Mass.

Considine and students Saige Devlin ’18, Connor O’Brien ’16, Gabe Rivas ’16, and Melodie Rosen ’18 viewed exhibitions by Jim Shaw, Liz Deschenes, Francesco Clemente, Clifford Ross and others.

The class  also stopped at The Clark Institute to view a site-specific work by contemporary artist Thomas Schütte. The students chose one work each to write about in detail for their midterm paper assignment.
