So, you got the call.  They want you to come in for an interview.  There’s only one problem: you’ve never had an interview before.  Don’t worry, Hamilton’s new tool InterviewStream is the solution!

After logging on to HamNET, just look to the bottom left corner of the homepage and click on the button that will take you directly to the InterviewStream website.   Once on the site, explore the “expert tips” section which not only offers advice on answering common interview questions, but also explains how to prepare for any interview.   After reviewing the expert tips, try the” Interview Webinar”.  The Webinar helps viewers understand the hiring process and gives useful advice on how to tell your story in the most compelling way.  The Webinar is a great tool to help you stand out as a viable candidate in any field.  Once you’ve familiarized yourself with all of the expert opinions on the site, it’s time to try a practice interview.

If your computer has a webcam, you can click on the “practice interview” button on the homepage to try an interview for yourself.  You can either choose the general interview, which is great for any career field, or design your own interview specific to the industry you plan on entering.  After you have chosen the type of interview you would like to practice, a mock interviewer appears on your screen to ask you 10 questions and gives you an opportunity to answer each one.  After answering a question, you can immediately review it before moving on to the next question.  At the end of the interview, you have the opportunity to review the entire interview by clicking the “watch interview” button on the homepage.  There you can tally the number of “umms,” “likes,” “I means” and “you knows” during the interview.  You can also fill out an assessment of your interview or invite a friend to assess your interview for you.   You can try as many interviews as you want, vary the questions, and review your interview to see your improvement.  After exploring  InterviewStream, you’ll be prepared for any question an interviewer throws your way.
