Hamilton College's second annual "Critical Mass Film Festival" will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31. Films by alumni David Gaynes '99 and Lauren Koss '00 will be screened. Other artists submitting works include Dawn Westlake, Desales, Sean Guinan, and Tony Gault.  

On Friday, the festival kicks off at 8 p.m. with a presentation of David Gaynes' "Bus Stories" and "Pet Peeves." The screening will take place in the Red Pit, Kirner-Johnson, and will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.

The festival continues Saturday, March 31, at 9 a.m. in the Kirner Johnson Auditorium and will run all day and into the night. Former Hamilton faculty member Scott MacDonald will give a lecture at 3:30 p.m. about the current trends in avant-garde cinema.
