Nine Hamilton College students attended the annual Harvard National Model United Nations Conference in Boston, Feb. 11-14. The conference brought together students from 70 different countries to participate in simulations of United Nations committees.

Hamilton College's delegates represented Samoa in committees such as the World Health Organization, the Disarmament and International Security Committee, and a Historical General Assembly that addressed Vietnam's military actions in Cambodia in 1979.

Daniel Berrick '18 and Robbyn Jimenez '19 were among the 10 delegates out of 300 in the Disarmament and International Security Committee to receive commendations for their exceptional performance.

Hamilton College's Model United Nations club helps students who are interested in international affairs to develop speaking, writing, and negotiating skills. In past years the club has attended conferences at Yale University, Boston University, and McGill University in Montreal.
