Professor of Chinese De Bao Xu edited and published a book, Technology and Chinese Language Teaching, with China Social Sciences Press, (May 2012). The book is a collection of 23 articles selected from the papers at the 6th and the 7th International Conference and Workshops on Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the 21st Century, OSU, 2010, and UHM, 2012 and revised for the new publication.
The articles are divided into seven chapters: (1) Frontier Researches- Web Participatory Learning Tools, Virtual Classroom, and Second Life, (2) Distance Learning and Internet Course Design, Development, and Evaluation, (3) Multimedia Chinese Language Learning and Teaching, (4) Cloud Application Tryout-VoiceThread, (5) Chinese Corpus Studies, (6) Comparison of CALL and Traditional Teaching Method, and (7) Chinese Natural Language Processing.
