International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP has named Douglas Glucroft '76 managing partner of the firm's Paris office. Glucroft has practiced in Paris for 15 years.  He focuses on private equity and global business and transactions.


"Doug has played a key role in successfully integrating our valued team in France," said Andrew Glincher, CEO and managing partner of Nixon Peabody LLP. "This new leadership role is a natural transition for Doug, who has quickly earned the trust and respect of our attorneys and staff in Paris."


Glucroft is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He was the chair of Democrats Abroad France from 1999 to 2003.


At Hamilton, Glucroft majored in government and graduated cum laude. He went on to earn his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1985. Before joining Nixon Peabody, he was a partner at Kahn & Associés. He also served as associate general counsel for Ziff Communications Company (Ziff-Davis) in New York and was an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb in New York and Paris.
